Happy Birthday, Sachin!
Today Sachin is turning 33. Here is a fantastic tribute written by the greatest left arm seamer to have ever graced a cricket field, Wasim Akram. Great to know that both Warne — voted one of Wisden's Top 5 cricketers of the previous century — and Akram rate Sachin as the best batsman of their generation. It is also interesting to note that both of these great bowlers put Sachin a step above Lara.
Here is a chance to relive Sachin's magic so far, thanks to Cricinfo's compilation of Ten of Tendulkar's finest.
Here is wishing Sachin the very best for a speedy recovery. As they say in English, Sachin's best is yet to come! So watchout, both fans and doomsayers.
I’m expecting some scatching comments here for this post!!

When the entire Aussie team rated Lara above Sachin what on earth were u doing ?
India doesnt need him anymore – obviously someone in Akrams position (being an ESPN commentator) cant be saying that. After all what wud Akram or for that matter any commentator get by saying Lara is better off …brickbats ?
Incidentally, in only one of the top ten of his innings has the team won and that too is attributable to a 5-for from Kumble – so much so for his match-winner tag.
As for “Sachin doing well” this may not be the most appropriate place for me to comment. I had asked u a question 10 years back – again am asking this today – when did he bat the opposition team out ?
